Mercury contamination of our waterways has led to fish consumption
warnings . A women named Wendy Moro felt severe fatigue and vertigo,very weak . It is seemed that her illness was stem from the food what she ate ; that is, she ate the polluted fish .Dozens of the doctor’ Bay Area patients have the same problems , which provoke the writer and his friend’ interest , so they decided to do the test ,realizing whether fish in this area is safe, how much fish is safe to eat ,and how much mercury consumers are actually ingesting . As a result , they found that only halibut was under the limit; other fish was contained more mercury than the EPA recommends, and the larger the fish is, the more the exposure. What was there conclusion? They said that it was too dangerous for people to try how much mercury consumer is safe.
Despite the fact that I have already known the mercury is toxic , I still recognize it as a element only exist in the laboratory ,. Never do I think it not only stay in the lab , but it also emerges in our food , in the air , and in the everywhere you cannot notice. For me , I was startled both by its toxin and its accumulation. Once we digest the food involved the mercury , we cannot get rid of them ,moreover , we may harm our descendant unnoticely. However, in the same time we feel fearful, we should come up with the way to solve the problem , instead of just getting away from them .First, we should condemn those industry which only think of their profits , regardless of people’ health . Second, we should urge our government enact the law concerning the pollution more strictly and more literally ..Last, we should instill the moral to our descendent , for them to protect their health and their environment.
