Taking Care of the Elderly

In rencentl years, there have been cases of the old oeople dying alone in their appartments, not being found for several weeks. Besides, we notice that the elderly form a large prportion of homeless people on city streets. More fightening are the numerous horor stories about the ill treatment of the senior citizens who live in nursing homes of poop quarlity.
In the past, it was traditionally the responsiblilty of adult children to take care of their aging family members. Nowadays, however, society is much more complex and people find it hard to cope with the pressures of modern life. The result is that many families are unable to properly carefor their senior members. This problem is also growing alone with the overall aging of the population. In my opinion, the government can solve the problem by investing more money in building up better-quality nursing homes. Besides, we should promote the traditional virtue of filial piety, which should not fade away with times. Swnior citizenx have contributed their best years to their country, society and families, and they deserve dignity and proper care during the last stage of life.
